There aren’t many NYC restaurants as storied as 21 Club. This former speakeasy – known for the row of jockeys lined up outside – opened in Greenwich Village in 1922, but has operated from its current Midtown location (jackets required) since 1929, giving it some serious old school status.
This beloved restaurant makes a mean “21” Egg Nog during the holiday season, earning a spot on our 12 Drinks of Christmas in NYC list. Made with bourbon, brandy, rum, eggs, sugar and heavy whipping cream, the nog is then garnished with freshly grated nutmeg or a cinnamon stick. Season’s greetings!
