4 Places To Get Boozy Desserts in Los Angeles

Because sometimes you want to drink your dessert, these 4 Los Angeles spots are serving up boozy treats. Treat yourself and try them all.

25 Degrees

Found inside of Hollywood’s famous Roosevelt Hotel, 25 Degrees will not disappoint. Sure, this traditional burger bar has some of the best burgers in town, but they also have spiked shakes! Yes, spiked milkshakes. With options like the Guinness milkshake (with Guinness beer), Salty Caramel (with Maker’s Mark Bourbon butterscotch), Banana Foster (with Sailor Jerry spiced rum banana) and Night Owl (with Godiva Chocolate Liqueur Kahlua) – dessert truly is the best part of your meal at 25 Degrees.

The Golden State Cafe

The idea is simple, but the execution is simply better than we could have imagined. Root beer floats give most of us the nostalgic memories of growing up and playing outside on those hot summer days and the Golden State Cafe in Los Angeles has captured childhood for us, but with a twist. And that twist is a beer float! Golden State Cafe serves up the traditional root beer float, along with a coke and ginger ale float, but we’ll be stopping by for their one scoop of ice cream served with an old rasputin stout on draft, please and thank you.

Grain at Playa Provisions

If you’re on the westside of Los Angeles, make sure you make some time to stop by Playa Provisions in Playa Del Rey. The property itself has a few different options and one of them is a whiskey bar called Grain. Another homage to our childhood, Grain serves fresh chocolate chip cookies with bourbon milk! Who doesn’t love fresh baked cookies? And then to wash it down with an adult version of (bourbon) and milk? Sign us up.

The Church Key

This is for all you pie lovers! Specifically, pecan pie lovers. Make your way to The Church Key located in West Hollywood and grab yourself a pecan Old Fashioned. Made with Bushmills Red, homemade candied pecans and topped with bitters – this will be like sipping on the delicious pie itself. And if you’re looking for something more refreshing for a boozy drink, they’ve got a Summer Elixir that’s made with tequila, mint, jalapeno, watermelon and Spanton Cardamom.
