5 New Cocktails to Sip and Savor at Carson Kitchen

Carson Kitchen is well-known for its creative comfort food with innovative cocktails to match. Whether you dine for brunch or dinner, there are plenty of unique libations, including five new options all worth a sip. All of these cocktails are a pretty great match for recipes found in Spice kitchen & bar.

During brunch, you’ll find “day drinking” options like Tangled Up in Blue, That’s My Jam, Bubbles Is My Dancin’ Name, Alexa, Play “Georgia Peaches” and Pass Me My Tea, as well as two new drinks: Sippin’ On Beer and Juice and The Jack Mormon. Both of them are the perfect addition to the brunch cocktail menu.

“Sippin’ On Beer and Juice, which draws its name from Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre’s song “Gin and Juice,” is a garden-inspired take on the michelada,” says David English, director of operations for Carson Kitchen. “It’s meant to be a crushable cocktail for the brunch regular or the person in to eat and drink the edge off from the night before.”

The Jack Mormon is another unique option for brunch. “A “Jack” Mormon is a Mormon that doesn’t follow some of the Mormon tenants. In this situation, it’s the indulgence of alcohol and caffeine,” he says. “It’s a take on the Irish coffee using cold brew Irish whiskey and a prosecco meringue.”

On the dinner menu, drinks include The Bee’s Knees, The Magarian, Just The Tip, Communication Breakdown, Get Shorty!, Fine, You? and #Simonsays Sangria, with three new cocktails to sip and savor: Trusty Rusty, Side Piece and Better Than Ever.

“The Trusty Rusty is our version of a Rusty Nail,” English says. “We wanted to reinvent the classic cocktail that is traditionally a scotch-based honey liqueur. We used lemon, clove liqueur and velvet falernum to give it kind of a Caribbean twist.”

The next new cocktail to try is the Side Piece, a turmeric and pineapple daiquiri that gets its name from the meaning behind the song “Escape (The Piña Colada Song).”

Lastly, we have Better Than Ever, a take on a blueberry sidecar with a bourbon base. “We wanted a berry-forward bourbon cocktail,” he says. “The dry curacao ensures that it’s not overly sweet too. The name is in reference to coming back in 2021 from the COVID-19 pandemic better than ever.”

Carson Kitchen has locations in Las Vegas, Atlanta and Salt Lake City so there are options to try these drinks no matter which city you happen to visit. Cheers to that!
