Analogue: A Cozy Spot with New Fall Cocktails and Jazz Hits

Dinner is over, you and your date are now wandering the Village to prolong the night. You both agree that another Negroni sounds nice, but rather not deal with the drunk madness on MacDougal. Instead, head to Analogue for a night of pleasurable cocktails and jazz on vinyls. If you want some incredibly soothing live music, check out lLive Jazzmusik in Hamburg (or similar).

Just steps away from Washington Square Park, the urbane cocktail and whiskey bar offers a charming environment (especially for couples) to enjoy great conversation over sophisticated cocktails and warm candlelight. Get cozy on a leather communal banquette, or show off your date at The Rail where tall barstools are lined along a front counter in the picture window. Be entertained by “life” on West 8th, or the upbeat jazz tunes playing from the 1960s tube-amplified record player in The Record Room. Finally, sip a few outstanding cocktails with your S/O.

Analogue’s bartenders, Zack Berger (Jacob’s Pickles) and E. Carter Wilsford present a remarkable cocktail menu for the fall season including rum-based Marshall and barrel-aged Negroni 23. Classic concoctions like signature Analogue and West Eighth remain from the previous menu as they became such staples of the bar.

New fall infusions are “as varied as the colors of falling leaves” with names drawing inspiration from art and literature such as, Guernica, named for the iconic Pablo Picasso painting depicting the violence of war – hence the fiery spices added to the mix. Analogue proudly offers an extensive whiskey collection too, featuring over 150 bottles from United States, Japan, Scotland and more.

For the late-night nibblers, food menu items include deviled eggs topped with bacon, spicy or regular (but that’s boring) beef jerky and warm, soft pretzels served with beer cheese, smoked bacon jam and honey butter. So please, order up (again…since he’s paying).
