Since December of 2002, Art Basel Miami Beach has been the favorite annual meeting place for the international art world, and drawing A-List celebrities, cultural icons as well as art lovers from all over the world. Its success through the years has attracted other art fairs and cultural events which have spread throughout the Magic City, and evolved into Miami Art Week.
Art Basel Miami Beach (ABMB) and Miami Art Week kick off every year during the first week of December, -except for 2020 when the global COVID-19 pandemic stopped the world on its axis. And for the 2021 edition it’s all about NFTs, premium tequila, branded bottled water for fun…and COVID-19 protocols.
We’ve put together a few of the best satellite art shows, NFT drops and special events, plus the perfect cocktail destinations for thirsty art-lovers needing a break from “Basel-ing” during Art Basel Miami Beach. But before you go:
All individuals wear a mask, regardless of vaccination status. In addition, most art venues require prior to entry proof of full vaccination in paper form or digital application OR proof of negative COVID-19 PCR test result taken within 72 hours of your visit.
