Back to Tales of the Cocktail — and the Moxy New Orleans

After a hiatus, the industry event Tales of the Cocktail is back IRL which means that New Orleans will see some serious bar talent, brand programming and educational opportunities over the next week. It also means that Thirsty is back in NOLA — and back to The Moxy Downtown.

Centrally located in the French Quarter, The Moxy New Orleans knows how to show guests a good time. A Marriott concept, The Moxy brand takes aim at fun-loving, social media savvy millennial travelers who live by the work hard, play harder mantra. The Moxy hotel’s bar is the central hub of all activity, it serves as the check-in, concierge, working space, game area, restaurant and a great spot for a craft cocktail and the Moxy NOLA — which debuted in 2016 — has certainly mastered the art of Southern hospitality.

The bar’s cocktail menu features a creative selection of craft cocktails including the Got Moxy with Bacardi Cherry rum and fresh lime; the South American Swag made with Diplomatico rum, dry vermouth, curacao and grenadine; the Pink and Black with Casamigos blanco, black tea, hibiscus and fresh lemon; and the Honey Let’s Suckle, a blend of Cathead vodka, fresh lemon, grapefruit and club soda — all perfectly refreshing after a long day in the New Orleans sun.

There is also local craft beer on tap, bottle and can along with the Wine Down Wednesdays featuring half-off bottles and glass specials from Olé Orleans including Five O’Feaux red blend, Vieux Carré rosé, Gumbeaux merlot and Saint Charles Ave. Chardonnay.

Looking for something with a little pep? The coffee menu features local New Orleans Community Coffee espresso, latte, Cappuccino, Mochaccino, Cafe Mocha and Iced Coffee.

On Thursday, July 28th, expect some serious laughs when Up All Night Nola presents Comedy at the Moxy at 9pm. There is no cover to attend. For more info, visit www.upallnightnola.com. Additional programming including: Old School Board Games on Mondays, Cocktails & Coloring on Tuesdays, Karaoke & Cocktails on Fridays and Bottomless Mimosas or Bloody Marys on Sundays — the perfect ending to the week.
