The Best Midtown Happy Hours in NYC

We have put together some of the best Midtown Happy Hours in New York City. There are approximately four million people working in Manhattan on an average day and that means that happy hours can get busy fast. At the end of a long day with grueling hours and often-intolerable bosses one of the best way to blow off steam is a good happy hour.  And while there are offices and businesses all over the city, Midtown has one of the largest concentration of professionals in need of a cocktail.

Best Midtown Happy Hours

The Rum House

The Rum House Midtown228

W 47th St

When: Weekdays, 12-6pm

Happy Hour Special: $10 Select Drinks; $5 Beers

This is also one of the best places in Midtown to grab a cocktail. Come for the happy hour and stay for the live piano and jazz music. This is also a great choice whether you are looking for a nightcap or even pre-theater drink.

La Biblioteca

La Biblioteca NYC

622 3rd Avenue (at 40th Street)

When you think of Murray Hill, fratty bars with recent college grads come to mind, right? Well, La Biblioteca is totally not that. This subterranean library-themed tequila den (there are over 400 varieties here) is the perfect alternative to your typical after work spot.

The Deal: Hour deals are fantastic: $4 Mexican beers and $8 top shelf margaritas from 5-7pm, Monday through Friday. And even if you aren’t interested in purchasing one of the tequila lockers – although, why wouldn’t you be? – La Biblioteca offers lots of delicious cocktails and lite bites to choose from.

The Smith Midtown

The Smith Midtown NYC

956 Second Avenue at 51st Street at 2nd Avenue – Midtown East

First, The Smith was known as that great place you went with friends for an low-key but super fun brunch, a cocktail or a late night snack. But a year later, when the Midtown East location debuted, it became the hotspot for the after-work crowd looking for a place to get drinks and unwind. The Smith doesn’t offer any Happy Hour deals but it’s always a good time and nothing is too overpriced.

Henry, a Liquor Bar

Henry's Cocktail Bar

358 West 58th Street (at the Hudson Hotel)

This isn’t your typical Happy Hour spot. With a cocktail menu created by top UK mixologist and two-time bartender of the year Ryan Chetiyawardana, this 3,000-square foot space that was once inhabited by the beloved but outdated Hudson Bar is an upscale version of the after-work cocktail destination. There are tons of comfy couches, a long bar and a take out window where guests can order some pretty delicious snacks including burgers and the French Toast Grilled Cheese (yes, really). And even though the space is massive, it’s still super homey and guests can even expect surprise sets by resident DJs Paul Sevigny, Harley Viera Newton and Vikas.

Hudson Malone

Urbanspace Vanderbilt

Urbanspace Vanderbilt Best Midtown Happy Hours

If you are looking for a place with options near Grand Central Station then look no further than the newly opened Urbanspace on 45th and Vanderbilt. The venue features 20 different vendors that include both drinks and food. This is a great option if you are either with some people that don’t really drink or need to catch a train soon. If you looking for cocktails & wine then head to Bangkok Bar or Amali. If you are looking for beer you can check out Mayhem & Stout, Kuro-Obi (Ippudo), or Sigmunds.

Parker & Quinn

Parker and Quinn Midtown Happy Hour NYC

64 W 39th St, New York, NY 10018
