Food and wine pairings at Corkbuzz
The food-and-wine pairing fun continues at Corkbuzz Wine Studio in March, with classes like “Sparkling Wine Around the World” and “Perfect Pizza Pairings.” A $150 dinner on March 25 will welcome Champagne producers Dominique Moreau and Nathalie Falmet from France. [Grub Street]
Anfora rolls out new Beverage Class series events
There’s a lot happening at West Village wine bar Anfora in March. The ‘Gnac Class will debut on Saturday, March 1st as bartenders Dave Foss and Tara Hammond explore the different types of “‘Gnacs”: Cognac, Armagnac, and Vintage Armagnac! Taste through four different variations of these spirits as well as classic and more modern evolutions in cocktails. And as Anfora rep states: “Class is not limited to Hip-Hop moguls and Francophiles.” 3:30 – 5 p.m.
Next up is a Greek wine class on Saturday, March 8th with Beverage Director Joe Campanale and Dave Foss, as they taste guests through six Greek wines, all paired with cheese.
