Blitzen's holiday pop-up is now open at Here & Now in LA.

Here & Now is ready to slay the holidays yet again. The LA Arts District’s cocktail haven is going all out with its Blitzen’s pop-up. Think an over-the-top North Pole pop-up complete with fresh falling snow, kitschy Christmas and Hanukkah decorations, ugly sweater adorned bartenders and an entirely festive menu, which reads as a multi-page illustrated children’s book stacked with Santa approved bites and booze.

For 2019, the Here & Now team has developed a new menu of 15 festive cocktails. Options include Yule’ love special cocktails such as You Go Glenn Cocoa made with hot chocolate, rum, chartreuse and Mr. Black Coffee Liqueur, the Get Blitzen’d with tequila, fino, sweet vermouth, lemon, falernum and prosecco, Elf’s Breakfast with Tullamore Dew Irish Whiskey, Becherovka, Licor 43, and Lucky Charm cream.

Other standouts include the Griswald approved Hallelujah! Holy Shit! Where’s the Tylenol? made with mezcal, rosemary-infused Laird’s Apple Brandy, Montenegro, Ancho Reyes and maple, the Hawaiian-inspired Mele Kalikimaka made with Jamaican Rum, Plantation Pineapple, Licor 43, spiced cranberry sauce, coconut and lime and Ralphie’s Favorite drink, the Yule Shoot Your Rye Out made with rye, gingerbread syrup and bitters

And don’t feel left out if you celebrate Hanukkah. Order the Put On Your Yarmulke with Monkey Shoulder, Manischewitz, grapefruit cordial, allspice dram, Aquafaba, lime, hibiscus and bitters or the Hebrew Hammer made with Smooth Ambler Bourbon, Cocchi Chinato, Manischewitz, Brance Menta and bitters.

Food specials include dishes like Christmas Poutine with pulled turkey, house gravy, cheese curds, bay leaf cranberry, Latkas with potato and chickpea latka, apple sauce, crème Fraiche, and Santa’s Salad with bitter greens, sherry cranberries, roasted squash, pecorino and Ricotta Salata.

Themed entertainment will include carolers, sexy Santas, drag queen bingo, re-gift your sh*t gift outdoor sledding with real snow and a holiday puppy pageant. Sunday nights will be PJ-themed, complete with classic games and holiday movie showings like “Elf,” “Home Alone” and “Christmas Vacation.”

The pop-up also gives back, acting as a fundraiser for PATH: People Assisting the Homeless: Blitzen’s will be giving a free cup of punch to anyone who brings in a quart-sized Ziploc of toiletries.
