There’s a new place to get your cocktail fix in the West Village now that 33 Greenwich is open. The restaurant, opened up last month on Greenwich Avenue by partners Danny Volk and Brian Fitterer, is serving elevated Southern fare created by Chef Anne Thornton, host of Dessert First on the Food Network while Kelly Framel and Zachary Lynd of Kizmet designed the restaurant.
But about the drinks: the cocktail program was developed by Darren Lampione, formerly of Surf Lodge, Apoteka, and most recently of Deer Mountain Inn in upstate New York. 33 Greenwich boasts funky artwork hanging throughout, including a tribute to Mr. Manhattan, also one of the cocktails.
If enjoy the arts, then go here. They have murals by Kelly Beeman on the wall in the main dining room. They also have art hanging on every wall in the restaurant including the bathroom. You will also find art by Miguel Rangel (Collage Artist), drag queen Steve Willis, and gallerist Joel Mesler.
