Sunday Funday Brunchtails at Ariete in Miami’s Coconut Grove

We all love a good brunch spot and Ariete is the perfect spot for a Sunday Funday visit to Coconut Grove. Coconut Grove, or The Grove to locals, is a charming, laid-back neighborhood in Miami located along the coast of Biscayne Bay, and south of Downtown with its own quaint Village Center and streets lined with charming boutiques and sidewalk cafes, all shaded with giant oaks and hardwoods.

Enter Ariete: fronted by an intimate outdoor dining area shaded by over-sized patio umbrellas, inside is the bar and an 80-seat dining room. Along with bottomless mimosas and a selection of brunchtails (as well as a Hygge Hot Chocolate that is not to be missed), the brunch menu offers innovative Latin-influenced Farm-to-Table cuisine, created by talented Executive Chef Michael Beltran like the Frita Benedict – yum!

Now, let’s get drinking.

More exotic than your standard margarita, you’ll enjoy every potent sip.  Mezcal, luxardo maraschino, green chartreuse, lime juice, jalapeño, and rosemary, with a salt rim.

Green Parrot

Light and easy to drink, this refreshing cocktail mixes basil infused gin, fresh lemon juice, and Chef Michael’s secret sweetness.

Old Cuban

A delicious and frothy cocktail, on the sweet side, made with Bacardi 8 year old rum, lime juice, demerara syrup, and egg white.

Don Boulevardier

Think Negroni, but made with rye whiskey, instead of gin, plus Foro Amaro, Carpano Bianco, and orange bitters.

Hygge Hot Chocolate

Higgle Hot Chocolate at Ariete

The epitome of comfort and coziness in a mug, Ariete’s unexpectedly silky hot chocolate embodies HYGGE (hoo-ga), the Danish phenomenon sweeping the nation.  This divine concoction of ground Valrona chocolate and warm milk, is topped with toasted marshmallow fluff, and served with housemade biscotti.

Hungry brunchers will be fully satisfied with the Frita Benedict with poached eggs and chorizo patties on housemade cheddar biscuits, smothered with hollandaise sauce and papitas (crunchy shoestring potatoes).

Lighter appetites will be delighted with the flavor-rich Abuela’s Grits: shrimp, ham hock broth and tamal en cazuela.
