Bruichladdich Burns Night Literary Showcase With Collectif 1806 On January 25th

Celebrating the life of Scottish poet Robert Burns, the celebration of Burns Night takes place every year on the date of his birth, January 25th.  Throughout his lifetime, Burns penned hundreds of poems, songs and other literary works. Fun fact, if you’ve ever sung  “Auld Lang Syne” while ringing in a New Year, then you have evoked Burns’ words. Burns Night festivities traditionally include enjoying a meal of haggis, spoken word performances and, naturally, some drams of Scotch Whisky.

For 2021, Bruichladdich and Collectif 1806 invite you to a special Burns Night Literary Showcase to virtually come together and enjoy an evening of storytelling and poetry reading to celebrate the life and work of Robert Burns.  There will be a line-up of special performances by some of the literary talents in our industry who will be hand-selected by Collectif 1806.  That’s not all they are treating you to; in order to properly toast to Bobby Burns, you will need a delicious Bobby Burns cocktail in hand. So Collectif 1806 will be supplying Bobby Burns cocktail kits will be given out to attendees, but supplies are limited, so get on that RSVP action ASAP to reserve yours before they run out.

Lastly, we want to make a call for all creative literary talents in the industry and invite all to submit an original poem, narrative, speech or other literary piece in consideration to be one of the featured performers at the Burns Night Showcase.
