Celebrate Holi Festival with the Rang Barse at Indian Spot Rahi

If you didn’t know, today is the Hindu festival of Holi, a celebration of colors, where vibrant drinks and dishes are enjoyed with friends and family. Also known as the Festival of Colors, Holi is a happy time – and West Village Indian spot Rahi is serving up the perfect cocktail for the occasion.

Crafted by bartender Dimitri Motuz, the Rang Barse – named for a famous Holi song of the same name – is a scrumptious combination of pineapple juice, banana liquor, rum, coconut cream, topped with a swirl of four different color food dyes to create a color explosion in a coupe.

“The Rang Barse cocktail was inspired by the splashes of color we see during Holi and the different textures we can achieve with coconut milk and colors,” explains Motuz. “In addition, we wanted a little touch of the floral flavor with a hint of spice which reminds us of the Holi season to pair with our food.”

Happy Holi indeed!
