Coffeed Expanding to Chelsea; Charlie Palmer’s Crimson & Rye Debuts in Midtown

Because there are always places opening and closing in NYC:

The plywood is up on Coffeed – a java joint with locations in Long Island City, Staten Island and Seoul, Korea (!!) – which is opening this fall in the ground floor of the New York Foundling Hospital, in Chelsea. The neighborhood is becoming quite a caffeine addict’s destination: Think Coffee also recently set up shop down the block.

Williamsburg is getting a new juice bar, now that the Texas-based chain, JuiceLand, is opening up on 9th Street. A sign in the window of the shop – which was formerly home to a We Buy Gold – says they’re looking for employees “to help customers find satisfaction, make fresh juice and thick smoothies, help bring healthy changes in the lives of customers, help the business grow and profit and create a fun and upbeat work environment.”

Crimson & Rye, chef Charlie Palmer‘s new restaurant and craft cocktail bar, is now open in Midtown, at the Lipstick Building on 54th Street.
