Four months ago, we told you exclusively that Restoration Hardware was taking over the former Pastis space, and would turn it into a boutique hotel slash home store.
At the time, the story was denied by Keith McNally but it looks like takeover is in fact happening, as Restoration Hardware recently filed a document with the city to take over the entire building. When we originally dropped the scoop, we were told that Pastis would NOT be returning to the RH Hotel, but instead would take over a new space down the block, on Gansevoort Street. No word yet on what will happen to Pastis but stay tuned for updates.
