Good news for whiskey fans: a new bar with a focus on “brown spirits” is set to open soon on the Lower East Side.
Owner Falvien Desoblin – from Tribeca’s Brandy Library – has secured a liquor license from Community Board 3 to open Cooper & Oak at 157 Allen Street (formerly Nena Beauty Salon) and according to photos on Bowery Boogie, the place looks just about ready to open for service.
With a rustic decor, Desoblin describes Copper & Oak as an “upscale bar offering knowledgable service on brown spirit,” along with a variety of small plates. Copper & Oak’s opening hours are presumed to be until 1 a.m. on weekdays, 2 a.m. on weekends.[Bowery Boogie]
