South Beach’s historic Paris Theater has been transformed into Queen Miami Beach, a European-style entertainment and luxury supper club. Helmed by hospitality visionary and founder of Mr. Hospitality , Mathieu Massa, the all-new destination venue offers an unprecedented upscale Japanese restaurant and lounge concept that promises over-the-top and unrivaled cuisine, cocktails, and singular service.
The awe-inspiring reimagination of the space was influenced by the club’s preserved architectural details from the ‘40s. Upon entering the golden doors, guests will be wowed by a custom mosaic handmade in Italy, terrazzo floors, and a mid-century brass chandelier. The vivacious black and white mural located in the front entrance vestibule, by local Miami Artist Gonzalo Fuenmayor, was inspired by the exuberant Brazilian entertainer Carmen Miranda.
The distinct Salon Lounge area houses Queen Miami Beach’s main bar, and also serves as an after-dinner drinks destination or a spot to have an elegant nightcap while enjoying the venue’s lively atmosphere until late in the evening. The bar program at Queen is built upon sustainability and innovation, with a bartending team encouraged to pair its delectable cuisine with culinary-focused cocktails.
“The Idol’s Eye is inspired by the king of the aperitifs – the Negroni.”, shares the drink’s creator, Karol Ansaldi, Bar Manager at Queen Miami Beach. “Following the narrative behind Queen Miami Beach’s signature cocktail program, we took this classic cocktail and made it fit for a Queen by adding our modern take with Asian flair.”
The Idol’s Eye Cocktail Recipe + Preparation By Karol Ansaldi
- 1.5 oz Gin
- 1.5 oz Umeshu (Japanese plum wine)
- 1 oz Campari infused with Cocoa Nibs
- 2 Dashes of Cherry Bitters
Directions: Build all ingredients in a shaker tin, then shake 3 times. Serve in a rock glass over a big ice cube. Garnish with a burnt orange wedge and a caperberry.
