Drink of the Week: Delirium aka The Bill Murray Cocktail

It’s New York Fashion Week and while so many are fueling their days with Coffee & Cigarettes, we thought we would feature a cocktail by Tim Cooper that evokes exactly those distinct flavors. It is also an homage to the one and only, Bill Murray, who just so happens to be our Man Crush Monday.

The coffee profile comes from coffee-flavored Demerara sugar and coffee beings and the smokiness comes from the Laphroig Scotch to make you think of smoking cig. This $14 is certainly a boozy one, but very well balanced by the mastery of Cooper, combining bourbon, scotch & rum. Yup, this is a New Yorker’s drink.

Delirium Cocktail, aka ‘The Bill Murray Cocktail’

Ingredients:

¾ oz. Elijah Craig 12-Year Bourbon
¾ oz. Laphroaig Scotch
¾ oz. Ron Zacapa Rum
⅓ oz. French roast/Demerara syrup*
3 drops Bittermen’s Mole bitters
3 coffee beans, for garnish
