Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching, so right now is the time when many of us are either starting to plan a Valentine’s Day with someone special, trying to get in so that you can decide if you want to spend this holiday together or break-up before the gift-giving and commitments start or frantically searching dating apps to meet someone new to spend it with.
Either way, there’s no better way to start or spend a Valentine’s Day than sipping a Double Date at Monclair Social Club in downtown Montclair, NJ.
“This cocktail is based on the classic Sour. We bring a romantic Italian twist for Valentine’s Day with a rhubarb Amaro and a homemade syrup made with Prosecco Rosé and rose blossom,” says Gabriel Reiben, beverage manager at Monclair Social Club. “It has a smooth texture, the syrup brings a sweetness with floral notes for savory tart finish.”

Double Date cocktail recipe + preparation:
- 1.5 oz Tito’s vodka
- .5 oz Amaro Sfumato Rabarbaro
- .75 oz Prosecco rose blossom homemade syrup
- 1 oz fresh lemon juice
- 1 egg white
Add all ingredients into a shaker tin and dry shake. Add ice, wet shake and then double strain into a chilled coupe glass. Garnish with edible rose petals.
