The world of cocktails is constantly evolving and we frequently are getting our minds blown by new ingredients and techniques. The Tippling Club in Singapore is a place where many next level concoctions are crafted; a reason why they are #31 on the list of the World’s 50 Best Bars. Their Sonic Negroni by Joe Schofield’s mad scientist approach to the classic version.
“The Sonic Negroni is aged using ultrasonic sound waves emitted by a sonic prep,” explains Schofield . “This process stretches and collapses the molecules of the drink giving the effect of a Negroni that has been barrel aged for years but in a matter of minutes. It is more consistent and takes no flavor from the wood, retaining the characteristics of an aged Negroni.”

Sonic Negroni Recipe & Method
- 25 ml Fords Gin
- 25 ml Campari
- 12.5 ml Cocchi Torino
- 12.5 ml Martini Rosso
Put in Sonic Prep for 5 minutes at a constant cycle on output 10. Keep chilled and pour over large block of ice. Garnish with Negroni Jelly Wedge.
