It’s a wonderful cocktail of hot and humid in NYC as we reach the end of June and, with people desperate to get out and enjoy eating (and drinking) out again, refreshing drinks are the best antidote for tough weather. Kokomo brings a blast of color and taste to our lives after a long winter year indoors, combining familiar Caribbean ingredients and tastes in an exotic yet elevated flair.
Beverage Director Rael Petit has mixed up a variety of tropical drinks designed to take guests taste buds on a tour of the islands in the bohemian setting of Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Traditional Caribbean cuisine takes on a new life alongside flatbreads and pastas all harboring bright flavors and creative twists to old favorites. The entire restaurant provides a feeling of a tropical paradise party, and the drinks deliver the rest of the ambience.
From island classics like the Painkiller to little “remixes” of traditional cocktails like the Tropical G&T, Kokomo is ready for the hot summer we all missed out on a year ago.
