Valerie Alvarado, National Ambassador – Altos Tequila

“The synergies between Altos and Nixta go far beyond great taste in the glass – the focus on raw materials and ancestral processes through Nixtamalization and the Tahona method, the roots in their respective Mexican communities, and their commitment to the trade and experimentation allow us to work together seamlessly. There are so many great things to come!”

Cesar Sandoval, National Ambassador – Nixta Licor de Elote and Abasolo Ancestral Corn Whisky

“We wanted to create a delicious but approachable cocktail that could highlight the balance of two brands rooted in Mexican tradition, but also innovation and playful experimentation. Altos Tequila brings fresh and vegetal notes that pair beautifully with the sweet, umami, creamy notes of Nixta Licor de Elote. We brighten it and bring it together with pineapple, lime, agave and a little salt for our golden twist on a classic. We’re proud to be using all ingredients that are native to Mexico, and to show that we as bartenders can have fun and experiment while staying true to our Mexican heritage. “
