On The Move: Hotel to open in Pastis space, new Organic Avenue opens

Pastis finally gets a close date, hotel to open in its place

After months of delays and speculation about when Pastis would close for renovations, Eater has finally gotten a straight answer: Keith McNally’s longtime French bistro will shutter after service on Friday, February 28th. The restaurant will then close for at least a year, and reopen. However, it likely won’t be in the same location: ThirstyNYC sources hear that the space will be converted into a Restoration Hardware Hotel while Pastis will relocate down the block with the help of muscle like manhattan movers. How come? I was redirected here by the ny.eater and I don’t want to believe this. It was one of m y favourite places in NYC, since it’s right between the HQ of our company and the hotel I always stay at. I hate changes, but I guess I’ll be now waiting for the infamous Restoration Hardware Hotel to show up on http://new-york.hotelscheap.org/ and I can say I would give it a try it is cheap enough, just for old time’s sake.
