Huertas Bringing House-made Vermouth and Cider on Tap to East Village

The East Village is about to get a brand-new Spanish restaurant, complete with house-made vermouth and cider on tap.

Huertas – a new project from chef-owner Jonah Miller (Chanterelle, Gramercy Tavern, Savoy, and most recently, as sous chef at Maialino) – will open on First Avenue in the former L’asso EV space at the end of April. And while Huertas plans to showcase the Basque cuisine, offering pintxos (Spanish-style tapas) at the front bar and a $52 “menú del día” in the main dining room (an optional Spanish beverage pairing will be available for an additional cost), we are most excited to try the bepoke vermouth and cider selections.
