Irish Fried Rice at Columbia Room

This week, we head to Washington D.C. for the Irish Fried Rice cocktail at Columbia Room. Made with Knappogue Castle Irish whiskey, sherry, toasted rice orgeat and lemon juice, this drink – created by mixologist Derek Brown – is perfect for transiting from the light flavors of summer to autumn’s cozy and comforting ingredients.

“Knappogue keeps the flavors from being diluted with honey and chocolate peering out from the salty Manzanilla and soft, floral toasted rice “orgeat,” explains Brown.

Bonus: the drink comes garnished with a custom fortune cookie, filled with quotes from famous Irishmen (natch).

Drink up!
