As summer heats up, Katana in West Hollywood has launched its Red Sun BBQ Series. The contemporary Japanese restaurant, which fuses modern sushi and authentic “robatayaki,” is celebrating the series by introducing some delicious new menu specials.
Taking place every Sunday through Labor Day weekend from 6 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., guests can enjoy an array of hot and cold dishes artfully prepared with premium ingredients, while listening to the sounds of a live DJ at the beautiful outdoor patio overlooking the Sunset Strip.
On the special menu, you’ll find selections from the sushi bar such as Ebi Ceviche with shrimp and crab with yuzu, avocado, tomato, cilantro and ghost pepper salt and Salmon Poke with made with Maui onion, kizami wasabi, nikiri soy and chips. From the Robata grill, there is Lobster Skewers w/ miso sauce and Cajun Chicken Skewers.
From the kitchen you’ll also find Kara-age Sliders with spicy garlic aioli, crispy onions, lettuce on Hawaiian rolls and Popcorn Shrimp Tacos with miso glazed popcorn shrimp with purple cabbage on organic blue tortillas.
Of course, our favorite item on the menu is the Cherry Limeade Snow cocktail made with grey goose cherry noir, fresh lime, simple and grenadine over crushed ice.
