Fifteen year since sbe’s first award-winning restaurant Katsuya, opened its doors, the original has expanded with the launch of the mixology-focused lounge concept S Bar.
A Hollywood classic persona, originally conceived by Philippe Starck for SLS Brickel in Miami, S Bar offers Brentwood an intimate neighborhood lounge, striking the perfect balance between cultured sophistication and raw elegance. Situated directly next to Katsuya, the sultry lounge, features an indoor-outdoor experience featuring al fresco dining, offering an enjoyable happy hour environment that smoothly transitions into an evening of socializing under the stars. A beautiful private dining room is available for exclusive dinners and event bookings as an extension of the Katsuya dining room, offering both the Katsuya and S Bar menus.
S Bar’s mixology-based, refreshing and welcoming atmosphere concept, which, like the original Miami locale, draws from the energy and vibe of each patron that inhabits the space. The venue offers fresh ingredients, efficient methods, and creative cocktails that are as pleasing to the eye as they are to the palate with enticing names inspired from classic hit Hollywood movies such as the Mask of Zorro, Vanilla Sky and Bohemian Rhapsody. Other cocktail highlights include the Purple Rain made with Bombay Sapphire Gin, L.N. Mattei Cap Corse and Butterfly Pea infused Dolin Blanc, the October Sky made with Grey Goose Vodka, Giffard Abricot, Lillet Blanc, Verjus, Ramazotti Rosato and soda and the Midnight Run made with Cazadores Reposado, St Germain, Ancho Reyes, Amontillado Sherry, lavender beet cordial and lime.
Guests will enjoy a hybrid menu of signature Katsuya cuisine reflective of S Bar’s overall aesthetic created by sbe’s mastermind Chief Culinary Officer, Chef Martin Heierling. The menu consists of vegan and meat items, sure to impress. Offerings, inclusive of starter snacks such as The Crunchies featuring crispy seaweed crackers, Sriracha Japanese Wings, sashimi, and a mix and match sashimi taco menu, a signature Crispy Rice selection with the option for a caviar add on, a Dumpling selection such as edamame, sweet prawn shumai and wagyu beef gyoza, Robata inclusive of charred eggplant and Jidori chicken tsukune, signature sandos such as the chicken Katsu and Wagyu Beef slider, a signature S Bar sushi special roll, and the impressive Black River Caviar platter featuring Oscietra caviar.
