You probably already know Kerrygold for their delicious Irish cheese and butter. But they have upped the ante with the launch of Kerrygold Irish Cream Liqueur. Made from the rich and creamy milk of grass-fed cows raised on small, traditional farms in Ireland blended with chocolate and Irish whiskey, Kerrygold Irish Cream Liqueur is a truly decadent liquid treat.
Created in 1961 and owned by 14,000 Irish dairy farmers, Kerrygold has long been known and loved for its quality products, and the Irish Cream Liqueur is an incredible addition. The real chocolate – no fake stuff here – and oak-aged Irish whiskey, along with the grass-fed Irish dairy, make it an ultra-rich and smooth sip.
“Cream liqueurs is a really fantastic, and often under appreciated category,” explains Master Mixologist Pamela Wiznitzer. “Balance is key in crafting the right mix for the bottle, and Kerrygold hits all of the notes in the right places. Kerrygold’s foundation – as a company – is in some of the best dairy production in the world, therefore, the quality of the liqueur is already ahead of many other competitors.”
Named the World’s Best Cream Liqueur at the 2017 World Liqueur Awards, the irresistibly indulgent Kerrygold Irish Cream Liqueur is already making its mark. Launched in 2014, Kerrygold Irish Cream Liqueur is now available all around the US, and the new black matte bottle with a cork top invokes its true luxury.
“The addition of Irish whiskey and chocolate really round out the flavors of Kerrygold Irish Cream Liqueur and separate it from other Irish cream liqueurs,” Wiznitzer continues.
With an alcohol by volume of 17%, Kerrygold Irish Cream Liqueur can be enjoyed as an indulgent and boozy treat. And it’s versatile – try it on the rocks, served chilled in a martini glass or mix Kerrygold Irish Cream Liqueur into your favorite cocktails, like the Gaelic Grasshopper (full recipe and preparation details below).
“Personally, I love to enjoy Kerrygold Irish Cream Liqueur on the rocks or mixed with some other great spirits such as aged rums, Irish Whiskey, and Cognacs,” says Wiznitzer. “And contrary to popular belief, Kerrygold Irish Cream Liqueur can be used year round – not just during the wintertime – and is a fantastic addition to blended drinks in the middle of summertime or with some coconut water to lengthen and amplify the flavors.”
