Without Repeal Day, we wouldn’t be able to enjoy all of our favorite boozy drinks. So today, we are toasting Repeal Day – the end of Prohibition, which took place on December 5, 1933 – with the Kings Old Fashioned from Porter House Bar and Grill.
The Kings Old Fashioned is made with Elijah Craig Small Batch Bourbon, walnut syrup, bitters and a lemon and orange twist, this drinks will have you reminiscing about days gone by – and thankful for all the cocktail-filled nights to come, thanks to Repeal Day.

Kings Old Fashioned Recipe and Preparation
- 2 oz Elijah Craig Small Batch bourbon
- 1⁄4 oz walnut syrup
- 1 lemon twist
- 1 orange twist
- 3 dash of Angostura bitters 2 dash Orange Bitters
- Glass: Riedel Rocks
- Garnish: Cured Walnut half
Method: In a mixing glass add bitters, walnut syrup, and Bourbon. Add ice and stir. Strain over a large rock into a rocks glass. Express oil from lemon and orange twist into the glass and drop into cocktail. Garnish with half a cured walnut.
