The Breakup Bar Now Open In LA for Valentine’s Day Haters

If you’ve ever had your heart broken around this time of year, Valentine’s Day can feel like pouring salt into an open wound. Don’t let those flower and candy companies tell you how to celebrate Valentine’s Day! Celebrate your single status at the Breakup Bar Pop Up In Los Angeles, an anti-Valentine’s Day champagne celebration taking over space next to Severance Wine Bar on Melrose Avenue.

For two weeks only, the space will transform into a place to mend broken hearts and start anew. From now until Feb. 14, singles can mingle with champagne, cocktails, food and Anti-Valentine’s Day activations. Jilted lovers can write a note to their ex about how they really feel and add it to the Wall of Broken Relationships (anonymously, of course). Once complete, it will be a mini art exhibit of relics of Valentine’s Day past.

On a 10-foot projection screen, the bar will be showing classic breakup movies plus food and snacks will be available to order from Severance’s menu next door. Guests can also turn their tears into a sweet tooth with a decadent amount of desserts including a sugar cookie tower, Baked Alaska, chocolate fondue, French macaroons, a chocolate fountain and assorted cookies and cakes.

And what would a Breakup Bar be without booze. In addition to a champagne bar, the pop up is serving up themed cocktails colder than your exes hearts. Check them out below.
