Mastro’s Ocean Club Fort Lauderdale: Restaurant Month Drinking + Dining Guide

Restaurant Month is Greater Fort Lauderdale’s summertime promotion of its thriving restaurant scene.  More than 70 restaurants are offering special three-course gourmet dinner menus, starting at $35, until September 30.  Mastro’s Ocean Club, an elegant seafood and steakhouse, is a must-visit participating restaurant.

At Mastro’s Ocean Club Fort Lauderdale, after your valet your car or dock your yacht, you can dine al fresco overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway.  On evenings with live entertainment, you may prefer a seat in the bar lounge or a table in the dining room.  Here are our drink recommends that pair well with Mastro’s Ocean Club’s excellent dinner menu:

Cocktails + Dinner at Mastro’s Ocean Club Fort Lauderdale

Dream Berry

Ciroc Red Berry Vodka, Triple Sec, Sweet and Sour Mix, a splash of Strawberry Puree and fresh squeezed Lemon; shaken with ice and drained into Martini Glass with Sugar Rim and fresh Strawberry as garnish.

Lavender Collins

Amethyst Lavender Gin, Cointreau, Lavender Syrup and fresh squeezed Lemon; shaken and poured into Pilsner Glass, then, topped with a splash of Fever Tree Club Soda and fresh Blackberry as garnish.

Both are great pre-dinner cocktails to sip while you review your three-course menu options, or enjoy a first-course starter, such as the very spicy, but, melt-in-your-mouth Jalapeño Tuna Sashimi.

Yacht 27 Sangria

Fresh Blueberries, Raspberries and Blackberries are shaken with Yacht Club Vodka, Fonseca Bin 27 Port, St-Germain, Simple Syrup, fresh squeezed Lemon and Ice; poured into Wine Glass and topped with a splash of Fever Tree Club Soda with an Orange Slice as garnish.

Pairs well with main course options, such as Seared Mahi with Mango Lobster Butter or perfectly cooked 6 oz Petite Filet – enhanced (for a worthwhile extra charge), with a rich side dish of Alaskan King Crab Black Truffle Gnocchi.

For a sweet finish, don’t miss their signature Personal Warm Butter Cake topped with Vanilla Ice Cream.

Tip:  Mastro’s Ocean Club Fort Lauderdale has a secret menu of specialty martinis – Cosmopolitan, Lemon Drop and Appletini.  Each are made from fruit-infused Svedka Vodka, which are served shaken at the tableside, then, poured into martini glass filled with dry ice to produce a fun smoking and bubbling effect.
