McDonald’s will be giving away free small McCafe coffee during breakfast hours now through April 13th …. so get it while its hot or iced.
In a move to drive consumer traffic to their stores, McDonald’s announced the giveaway less than a week after Taco Bell announced that it was throwing it’s hat in the breakfast game with a new morning menu. McDonald’s is still the number 1 power player in the fast food breakfast arena but FoxNews.com reported that their sales dropped 1.4% in February and with more competition, Mickey D’s is clearly feeling the pressure.
CNN shared the news that,“The company [also] said that starting in mid-April, it will surprise a Twitter follower every day for the year with McCafe coffee and prizes.” So follow @McDonalds because if the pop-up morning concert in NYC with Karmin to announce the promotion is any indicator, Mcdonald’s has got some tricks under it’s (coffee) sleeve.
