Cocktails to Pair with KYU Miami’s Asian-Inspired Cuisine

James Beard nominated for Best New Restaurant 2017, KYU Miami is a favorite hotspot in the heart of the Wynwood Art District – and for good reason. With solid food and killer cocktails, KYU is a favorite for locals and  visitors alike.

Now, KYU restaurant partners, Chef Michael Lewis and General Manager Steven Haigh have added new cocktails to pair with with their delish Asian-influenced menu which ranges from chilled crudo to wood-fired Japanese barbeque-style grilled meats – and they are not to be missed.

Asian-Inspired Cocktail Pairings at KYU Miami

Here are a few of KYU Miami’s newest drinks matched up with popular dishes that complement and balance their pairing for ultimate tasting experience:

The Pollinator

Tasty and slightly sweet; this elevated take on the Bee’s Knees, mixes Fennel Milk-washed Bombay Dry Gin, Lemon Yuzu, Miso Mirin Honey and Bee Pollen.

Combine with the delish Roasted Cauliflower served over goats cheese and shishito – herb vinaigrette.

Smokey The Pear

Potent and exotic; mixed with Del Maguey Vida Mezcal, Lapsang Souchong Tea, Asian Pear, Dry Marsala, Amontillado and Black Cardamom-Tarragon Bitters.

Rich and savory; stirred with Fried chicken fat-washed Altos Reposado Tequila, Del Maguey Vida Mezcal, Cilantro-Lime Bitters, with a Shichimi Spice Reduction and Umami Tincture.
