Mob Wives star Angela “Big Ang” Raiola is bringing her talents to Brooklyn, opening an outpost of her successful Staten Island dive bar Drunken Monkey in DUMBO tonight.
And she is excited about making some new friends in the ‘hood.
“I’m looking for the hipster crowd,” Angela (Big Ang) Raiola tells the Daily News. “It’s a completely different crowd than Staten Island. It’s going to be the yuppies and the hipsters — the Dumbo crowd. I love them all.”
The Brooklyn Monkey opens in the today at 4 p.m. with a Cinco De Mayo party, and if it’s anything like original location, the party is sure to be a wild one.
Guests looking to mingle with the reality star will have to enter through the iconic Grimaldi’s pizza shop below, and head up to the third floor.
“It’s going to be chaotic, but Grimaldi’s is used to managing chaos,” says the pizza shop’s manager Gina Peluso. “We’re excited about the new bar upstairs, and nervous at the same time.”
White wine fans beware: the only vintage of Chardonay being served at Brooklyn Monkey is the owner’s very own Big Ang Wines, natch.[Daily News]
