The Moxy Hotel: Where Hospitality is Served at the Bar

We really love a good hotel bar and at The Moxy Hotels, the social experience is centered around their bar as the main hub of each property. This new Marriott concept takes aim at fun-loving, social media savvy millennial travelers who live by the work hard, play harder mantra. The Moxy hotel’s bar is the central hub of all activity, it serves as the check-in, concierge, working space, game area, restaurant and a great spot for a craft cocktail.

We recently stayed at The Moxy NOLA during Tales of the Cocktail and felt right at home when we were greeted with their complimentary signature The Got Moxy cocktail a Bacardi Cherry Rum infused cocktail combining fresh lime juice, simple syrup, Bordeaux cherry syrup and spiked with a liquor soaked cherry, was inspired by New Orleans’ obsession with ‘snowball’ shaved ice treats.

As we sipped our cocktails, our social media A.D.D. set in we started to notice all the Instagram worthy “moments” scattered throughout the property. The Moxy brand sense of humor shines with its decor complete with massive inflatable doughnuts, drinking signs and pillows with sayings like “I Woke Up Like This” and “More Issues than Vogue” on their couches.
