National Tequila Day: What to Drink

It’s National Tequila Day on Sunday, July 24th, and we have the details on the best places to sip this delicious agave liquor. Cheers!

National Tequila Day: What to Drink

Añejo Tribeca

Choose from a variety of signature cocktails like the classic Añejo Margarita with El Jimador, Combier orange, lime and agave or the Cucumber Crush, a refreshing blend of Cazadores Blanco, cucumber, mint, lime and agave. Or check out one of the tequila flights, consisting of four samples to sip on.

Village Pourhouse

Liquid Sunshine Village Pourhouse

This East Village watering hole is going big for National Tequila Day, offering guests a 90-ounce (!!!) Liquid Sunshine Bowl which is basically a huge vat of alcohol AKA a one-way ticket to tipsy city.

Invite Only

Invite Only will be serving up a delicious Spicy Margarita with tequila, Cointreau and muddled tequila, stained into an iced rocks glass. Yum!

Fonda

Chelsea eatery Fonda will be getting guests tipsy with the Picosita, a blend of Milagro chipotle tequila, lime juice, orange and ginger marmalade and muddled clementine

PHD Terrace at Dream Midtown

Spice up your National Tequila Day with the Hot to Trot at PHD Terrace at Dream Midtown: a blend of Casamigos Blanco with lime, agave nectar, cucumber and jalapeño slices.

The Rickey at Dream Midtown

Located on the ground floor of the Dream Midtown, The Rickey is serving up the Going Back to Cali, with Herradura tequila, avocado purée and Tuaca vanilla citrus liqueur, garnished with a mint bud.

PHD Rooftop at Dream Downtown

We love noting more than summertime rooftop drinking, and the Strawberry Fields at PHD Rooftop at Dream Downtown is a delicious National Tequila Day treat. Made with Don Julio Blanco, strawberries, lime juice, agave syrup and basil leaves, all blended and served in a rocks glass over ice.

Electric Room at Dream Downtown

Chelsea hotspot Electric Room gets cheeky with the El Chapo, made with Patron, Montelobos mezcal, Patron XO, muddled ginger and orange bitters, all shaken together, strained into a highball and topped with ginger beer.

Beauty & Essex

The Old Dirty Bramble at this Lower East Side restaurant combines Milagro Reposado, honey, lemon, ginger juice and muddled blackberries for a refreshing but boozy cocktail.

Horchata

The Foam Party at Horchata is a party in a glass. Made with grapefruit-infused Milagro tequila, mango nectar, grapefruit and lime juices, we dare you to try and have just one.

The Stanton Social

Watermelon is a total summer staple – and the Watermelon Cooler at Stanton Social nail it with this drink, made with Riazul tequila, watermelon puree, ginger puree and lime juice, served over ice with a candied ginger garnish.

Mr. Purple

Have we mentioned how much we love rooftops and drinking in rooftops? Well, Mr. Purple is a fave and so is the Hibiscus Frozen Margarita, with Casamigos Blanco tequila, Cointreau, lime and lemon juices, agave syrup and hibiscus tincture.
