Pig Bleecker is now open in Greenwich Village, complete with “smoke-centric” comfort food and cocktails that pair perfectly.
Chef Matt Adboo, a Del Posto alum and the guy behind Pig Beach in Gowanus, is in charge of the kitchen, putting out dishes like Pecan Candied Bacon, Karl Ehmer Pigs in a Blanket with Pig Beach mustard sauce, Grandma Val’s Meatballs with smoked DiPalo’s mozzarella, and much more.
But we are here for the drinks.
Pig Beach partner Michael Greenlee oversees the wine list, which focuses on global and accessible wines to compliment the menu, including two varieties on tap and a reserve list of rare and high-end bottles.
Head Bartender Sarah Morrissey – from Dear Irving and Dutch Kills, so she obviously knows her way around a bar – has put together a killer cocktail list, featuring seasonal offerings like the Winter Julep with rye, winter syrup, alpine and mint; the Deacon Blues with bourbon, mezcal, black pepper vanilla syrup and Angostura.
Don’t miss the rotating seasonal punch, currently the Little Pina’s Pisco Punch with black coconut tea-infused pisco, dehydrated coconut milk, cinnamon, pineapple and lemon, served from a vintage punch bowl.
Welcome to the neighborhood.
