New Tropical Cocktails at Trader Vic’s in San Francisco’s Bay Area

Following his creation of The Original Mai Tai® in 1944, Trader Vic has created over 200 handcrafted tropical cocktails, -from luau drinks served in festive communal bowls to tikinis.

After his initial success in the San Francisco Bay Area, he took the Mai Tai to Hawaii and its popularity rapidly spread throughout the islands, and now, Trader Vic’s is worldwide.  Each restaurant is decorated with hand-crafted and authentic artifacts collected from islands around the world.

Novo Fogo Cachaça (spirit from Brazil made from sugarcane juice), Trader Vic’s Koko Kreme, Guava and Lime.

Angostura Amaro, Yellow Chartreuse, Lemon and Orgeat (almond syrup); garnished with burnt Rosemary.

This is the original recipe from The Trader: White Rum, Dark Rum, Lime Juice, Orgeat, and Orange Curacao; over crushed ice and garnished with Mint Sprig, Pineapple Spear, Cherry, and Lime Wedge.
