Wednesday, November 15th – Urbanspace 2017 Holiday Markets Open

The market makers at Urbanspace are back this winter with their highly anticipated holiday market schedule. Alongside the beloved classics – Union Square Holiday Market, Columbus Circle Holiday Market and The Holiday Shops at Bryant Park – three new markets will join this season’s roster: Turnstyle Holiday Market, Gifted in Times Square and Garment District Holiday Market. That means, more food and drink pop-ups like Ice & Vice and Boa by Kaya. Follow along here.

Friday, November 17th – Riviera Nayarit Pop-Up at Hotel Americano

Hôtel Americano’s popular rooftop coastal Mexican restaurant is hosting the next installment of its ongoing Guest Chef Series. Experience a special menu curated by Betty Vazquez, Riviera Nayarit’s culinary ambassador and one of the main judges on Mexico’s MasterChef TV program, in partnership with Hôtel Americano’s Executive Chef Bryan Noury.

Israel Diaz, one of Mexico’s top mixologist and ambassador for Riviera Nayarit, will create a cocktail menu to pair with this special menu. Chef Vazquez’s dishes and Diaz’s cocktail creations will live-on as part of a limited-time only menu at La Piscine until December 3rd. The full menu will be announced at a later date.

Saturday, November 18th – Jersey City Craft Beer Festival at Harborside

Jersey City Craft Brew Fest is returning to Harborside’s Waterfront Property this Saturday. Guests can choose between two sessions – 1:00PM – 4:30PM & 6:00PM – 9:30PM – to taste over 150 styles of craft beers and ciders featuring New Jersey breweries such as Hoboken’s 902 Brewing Co. and Newark’s Ironbound Hard Cider, as well as top brews like, Sixpoint, Smuttynose and Ommegang. Food, live music, games, merchandise and insta-photo ops – thanks to the epic skyline view – will be present, too. Tickets cost $65 for general admission; $15 for “designated drivers.” Purchase here.

Monday, November 20th – Circa Brewing Co. Releases New Barrel-Aged Cocktails

Starting at 6:00PM, Downtown Brooklyn’s latest brewpub is tapping their barrels and releasing the first round of drinks from their guest bartender barrel-aged cocktail series.

Enjoy four barrel-aged cocktails created by different New York City bartenders (who will be in attendance). Taste them alongside the unaged version of each cocktail, too. Expect the following cocktails.

  • For What’s to Come – crafted by Mike Di Totta (The Bonnie) with Virgil Kaine Rip Track Bourbon, Bar Hill Tom Cat Gin, CH Distillery Fernet Dogma, CH Distillery Rubin Bitter Grapefruit Liqueur, garnished with a grapefruit twist
  • Balsamic Negroni – crafted by Damon Boelte (Grand Army) with Brooklyn Gin, Campari, vermouth, aged balsamic vinegar, garnished with strawberry and cucumber
  • Barrel Aged Manhattan – crafted by John Holzinger with Michter’s Rye, Foro Amaro, and Cointreau
  • La Avenida – crafted by Ari Rubenstein with Mount Gay Black Barrel Rum, Amaro Montenegro, Apertivo Select, Bitter Truth Old Fashioned Bitters, Regan’s Orange Bitters #6, garnished with an orange twist and dark chocolate

Executive Chef Michael Franey powers the kitchen with reimagined tavern classics, featuring uniquely flavorful steaks and meats delivered through CHG’s patented SaltBrick dry-aging process.

The beverage program includes carefully curated wine and beer lists, plus updates on classic cocktails using locally distilled and craft spirits. Highlights included: Torn and Frayed with popcorn-infused Bumbu rum, genmaicha tea syrup, and lime; and Loving Cup with beef love fat-washed Dorothy Parker gin, Luxardo Bitter Bianco, dry vermouth, and grapefruit bitters.
