Oktoberfest on Stone Street; Kikusui Sake at Azasu

FIDI: This Saturday, October 4th, NYC Oktoberfest kicks off on historic Stone Street, featuring Erdinger Weissbräu and Sixpoint Brewery. From noon til 11 p.m., there will be food and beer from twelve different Stone Street restaurants, including Adrienne’s Pizza, Ulysses, Stone Street Tavern, Vintry Wine & Whiskey and more, plus live Bavarian music and on-site brewing demonstrations from Brooklyn-based homebrew shop, Bitter & Esters.

CHELSEA: Hendrick’s Gin is hosting a pop-up at Chelsea Market til tomorrow from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m., with FREE Hendrick’s Gin cocktails.

LOWER EAST SIDE: Azasu is hosting a Kikusui Sake tasting event on Tuesday, October 7th, featuring a flight of Kikusui’s best cup sakes including the original yellow Nama Genshu, the red Kikusui Aged label and the black Kunko label, fortified with shochu. A traditional shamisen artist will also be on hand to provide entertainment for guests, who can purchase a punch card for $30.

MIDTOWN WEST: On Thursday, October 9th, Virgil’s Real Barbeque is offering a free Autumn Beer Fest Tasting featuring brews including Goose Island Oktoberfest, Goose Island IPA and Goose Island Honker’s. Hungry guests can chow down on Popcorn Chicken with habanero mayo, Sweet and Sour Fried Pickles and Jalapeno Mac and Cheese Balls with Smokey Bacon dipping sauce.
