Oscar Film Week is Back at Culina in Beverly Hills

The hottest ticket in town is The 3rd Annual Oscar Film Week at Culina at the Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills, where the eight most captivating 2019 “Best Picture” Oscar-nominated films will be screened and will include a very special Culina Three-Course Prix-Fixe Dinner created and prepared by Chef de Cuisine Luca Moriconi, or guests can alternatively indulge in the Culina Pronto Market Lunch and Matinee starting Tuesday, Feb 19 and running through Saturday, Feb. 23 leading up to this year’s 91st Academy Awards.

Culina at the Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills will be offering a cinematic experience like no other, steeped in the height of luxury. With only thirty-seven-seats, the Four Seasons Culina movie theater offers guests a truly intimate screening, ensuring every seat is a VIP seat with a perfect view. With reclining leather chairs for guests to literally put their feet up and relax, each seat is accompanied with its own plush blanket and side table for movie snacks and beverages.

Guests are greeted by an old-fashioned popcorn machine as they enter the theater where each guest can enjoy a complimentary bag of fresh popcorn that can be personally customized with specialty seasonings. For viewers craving something sweet, movie theater boxed candy will be available for purchase. Additionally, guests are able to enjoy a specialty cocktail which will be themed to complement each individual movie, or sip and savor a bottle of wine for purchase while taking in their favorite 2019 Academy Award-nominated film screening.

For guests attending an evening screening, Chef de Cuisine Luca Moriconi has created a Three-Course Prix-Fixe Menu ($59 per person including screening), beginning with guest’s Antipasti choice, such as the Zuppa Ribollita made of Tuscan vegetables, Borlotti beans, garlic, and roasted ciabatta, or the Burrata Invernale, prepared with beets, frilly mustard greens, red wine vinegar, and duck prosciutto, or the Polpo Grigliato, comprised of charred octopus, green beans, watercress, smoked potatoes, and cauliflower purée frisée.

The Secondi course includes three choices starting with the Nastri al Cinghiale, featuring handmade pappardelle, braised wild boar sugo, and pecorino; the Pollo al Marsala accompanied by white asparagus, celery root, potato purée, and marsala jus, and lastly, the Branzino Alla Matin-Ara, comprised of roasted branzino, fingerling potatoes, artichoke Taggiasca olives, cherry tomatoes, and asparagus. For a sweet finish to this delectable dinner, a duet of Dolci completes this menu, with a choice between the Crème Caramel served with citrus lemon sorbet and coconut meringue, or the Tiramisu, prepared with espresso meringue and chocolate crisp. Guests attending either of the Saturday Matinee Screenings will enjoy the Culina Pronto Market Lunch ($35 per person including screening), which is a specially curated Farmers Market inspired buffet including a selection of salads, cheese, and charcuterie with a choice of protein, along with specialty desserts, fresh fruit and other delectable treats.
