Peppermint Club Brings A Chic Vibe, Live Music and Craft Cocktails to WeHo

Who says peppermint is just for the holidays? The h.wood Group’s John Terzian and Brian Toll  have opened their new innovative live music space called The Peppermint Club, in partnership with Interscope Records John Janice, Steve Berman, and John Ehmann.

Taking over the old Henry’s space in West Hollywood, the unique partnership is a 60’s-inspired music lounge that caters to true musicians and music lovers. Guests experience a premier lounge with lush textures and enjoy live music surrounded by the comfort of an executive’s living room and state of the art sound for live music and playback listening parties.

Cocktails at The Peppermint Club

Designed by creative director of Built Inc. John Sofio, The Peppermint Club’s interiors play out visions of blending dark tones with soft vibrant textures, where its amplifying energy is designed to contain an exclusive setting for an intimate evening.

“Designing a live music venue like the Peppermint Club allowed me to explore sound and lighting and environmental design,” says Sofio. “In order to maximize the sound quality of the space, I referred to the numerous sound studios, sound stages and night clubs I have created in the past.”

Although Sofio’s experience of acoustics was limited to sound studio, nightclubs and restaurants, he was able to work closely with Demetrius Moore, an amazing sound engineer who engineers some of the most famous current recording artists of today. “I used my knowledge of sound to layer acoustics by adding materials such as acoustic textured ceilings, layering wall and ceiling shapes, acoustic walls using cork and foam and wood diffusers fabricated into the wall finishes to maximize the sound quality in the space,” explains Sofio.

Behind the stage at The Peppermint Club, is The Virginia Black Green Room, painted in the custom Peppermint Plum burgundy color with the help of professionals like Painters Calgary, which is a private space for performers and their guests, complete with its own entrance and exit.

The signature mixology program at The Peppermint Club was curated by the h.wood group’s food and beverage director Adam Koral with specialty cocktails influenced by its very own namesake and other libations paying ode to the music industry’s legendary live venues. Guests can also enjoy lounge style bottle service and “Snacks” finger food menu in clever seating arrangements, while being entertained by live resident artists and special guest performances.
