This week we saunter over to Le Boudoir in Brooklyn Heights, N.Y. to experience the Phrygian Cap cocktail by ms. franky marshall. The Phrygian Cap is an ancient symbol of freedom associated with 18th & 19th-century revolutions, especially the French Revolution. This ladies and gentlemen is a timely cocktail for heady times per the lovely ms. franky.
The Phrygian Cap Recipe
- 0.25 oz Cappelletti Amaro Sfumato Rabarbaro
- 0.5 oz Amaro Averna
- 0.5 oz Leopold Brothers Tart Cherry Liqueur
- 1 oz Rieger’s Kansas City Whiskey
Add all ingredients to mixing glass and stir with ice. Strain into rocks glass over fresh ice and flame with an orange disc horizontally across the glass then discard.
