If you have ever wondered if craft cocktails or rare single malt scotch pair with shopping mall pretzels, you can now find out at Raised by Wolves in San Diego. This bizarrely brilliant project is the brainchild of CH Projects (Arsalun Tafazoli, Anthony Schmidt, and Marshall Stanton) and is part cocktail bar and part rare bottle shop. These brave pioneers have enlisted Erick Castro and Chris Patino to create the cocktail program to serve up suburbia. The dual- concept, which includes a retail storefront that will incorporate 1,500 square feet of space alongside a 2,000 square foot cocktail bar and tasting room.
The shop aims to offer a boutique experience with carefully curated bottle selections with vintage and esoteric spirits alongside private label barrels and rare speciality items. It will also sell books, glassware and bar tools. Hidden inside the shop will be the entrance to the “speakeasy” style bar that is designed to have a library feel with a circular bar underneath a stained glass gazebo with light mimicking sunrises and sunsets. Guest will be surrounded by bookshelves, fireplaces and even a bubbling fountain.
The Raised by Wolves team will conduct educational classes, host seminars, and pop-ups for the general public as well as welcome guest bartender cameos with notables from all areas of the globe. Spirits bottles will range from $20 to 20,000, so their range is budget friendly to baller.
