Rosé Tasting at Therapy Wine Bar, Huertas Offering Canned Beer Special

BED-STUY: On Tuesday, May 20, Bed-Stuy’s Therapy Wine Bar is hosting “Travel Therapy in a Glass”, a rosé tasting  to celebrate author Nubia DuVall Wilson’s latest “Encounters with Strangers.” The event begins art 7 p.m. and $20 tickets include the tasting, snacks and a copy of the book. EAST VILLAGE: Starting tomorrow, East Village Basque-inspired restaurant Huertas – the place with house-made vermouth and cider on tap – is offering a $12 Cans and Conservas  special (a can of beer and a can of fish with seasonings). STATEN ISLAND: Head to Staten Island on June 7, when beer writer Joshua Bernstein will be giving a tour of homebrewers across the borough, featuring eight different brewers from Bernstein’s organization Pour Standards. The tour – and beer drinking – will start on the Staten Island ferry, and continue onto a party bus which will visit the homes of Pour Standards’ members, sampling at each stop.
