THIRSTY RYED WITH JACK – BARTENDER CONTEST OFFICIAL RULES

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.

You must be at least 21 years of age, able to prove that you are currently employed as a bartender and a legal resident of the United States, residing in New York City Metro, NY, New Jersey and have a valid, current driver license. Contest void wherever prohibited or restricted by law.

CONTEST PERIOD:

March 8st, 2018 thru March 22nd, 2018.

ENTRY DEADLINE:

March 22nd, 2018 at Midnight ET.

HOW TO ENTER:

In order to enter, the Contest potential entrants must go to www.thirstymag.com/ryed-with-jack, to find and complete the registration form found there, including: name/address/date of birth, place of work, recipe, and a photo of the prepared drink. through the “thirsty Ryed with Jack” during the Contest Period. Entry must be completed using the form which includes name/address/date of birth/phone, place of work, recipe. Entrants must complete each section of the Submission Entry form must be completed. An entry that does not meet the above criteria will not be eligible. Photo of the prepared drink may be, but is not required to be posted on social media using #RyedwithJack.

Limit one entry per person.

JUDGING:

Potential Prize winners will be selected based on the following: Create a cocktail that is inspired by your favorite classic sports car and showcases the flavor of Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Rye Whiskey and the following criteria.

Jack Daniel’s Cocktail: 100 points

1. Creativity and Originality (30pts.)
2. Intelligent use of Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Rye Whiskey (30pts.)
3. Presentation and Appearance (20pts.)
4. Creativity, relevance to the car style and appeal of recipe name (20pts.)

Entrants must be currently employed as a bartender. Judging is at the sole discretion of Jack Daniel’s and a panel of judges selected by the Thirsty Media and will be conducted/concluded on or about March 28, 2018. Jack Daniel’s and Thirsty Media have sole discretion to change the before mentioned date without warning.

PRIZES:

Thirsty Media will award seven (7) prizes. Prize consists of a day trip to Bear Mountain, NY for one person. Each winner will be allowed one leg of a driving experience to Bear Mountain and what it is like to drive a classic car. (ARV: $1200).

Prize Package contains:

1. A day drive to Bear Mountain in a classic sports car on April 8th at 8 am and Returning, April 8th at 5 pm. Driver may have other people in the car while driving. Driver must follow the rules of the CLASSIC CAR CLUB OF MANHATTAN. Winner must have a valid driver license to be eligible to receive the prize.
2. Lunch.

Taxes are the sole responsibility of prize winners. No substitution/transfer of prize permitted. If a winner cannot travel/participate on dates specified, he/she must forfeit the prize and an alternate winner may be selected. Prize winners are responsible for all necessary travel documents, including but not limited to driver license. Alcohol is not part of any prize. Unclaimed prize(s) may not be awarded.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR ENTRY:

Entries must be in English. Entries must not allude to the over-consumption or irresponsible consumption of beverage alcohol. Entries that do not include all required information and do not adhere to the foregoing and following requirements will be considered void and will not be considered in the judging of this contest. Entries that are deemed by Sponsor in its sole discretion to be illegal, obscene, profane or not in keeping with Sponsor’s image will be disqualified.

Employees of Brown-Forman, thirsty media inc, their affiliates, liquor wholesale licensees, as well as advertising/promotion agencies and their immediate family members and household members of each and retail license holders are not eligible. This promotion is void wherever prohibited, taxed or restricted by law. In the event that the contest is challenged by any legal or regulatory authority, Sponsor or Administrator reserves the right to discontinue or modify the Contest or to disqualify participants residing in the affected geographic areas. NOTIFICATION:
Winners will be notified on or about March 28th potential winners will be notified by email from Thirsty Media. Upon notification, Potential Winners will have 24 hours to accept the prize. If a winner does not accept the prize or does not respond he/she will forfeit the prize and an alternate winner may be selected. Potential winner may be required to complete an affidavit of eligibility /liability release. Unclaimed prize(s) may not be awarded. By accepting a prize, any winner: (a) releases Brown-Forman/Thirsty Media and their affiliated companies and licensed alcohol wholesalers and retailers from any/all liability claims, action or proceedings arising out of or for injuries or damages sustained while involved in any promotion activity or connection with the use of the prizes; as well as (b) consents to the use by Brown-Forman/thirsty media inc. for promotional purposes in connection with this promotion, of his or her name and/or likeness and/or voice without further compensation where permitted. HOW TO ENTER:

In order to enter, the Contest potential entrants must fill out the form on thirstymag.com/ryed-with-jack/ during the Contest Period.

Entry must be completed using the form; each section of the Submission Entry form must be completed. An entry will consist of 2 essays. The first being “What do you love most about bartending?” The second being “Tell us why you’re interested in joining some amazing, like-minded people for a trip to Lynchburg TN, to go behind the scenes and learn about what makes Jack Daniel’s so special?

The essays must not contain information that would be considered illegal according to state laws, harmful to the Jack Daniel’s brand, mention any celebrity, or mention any other alcoholic beverage brands. Furthermore, an entry must be in good taste in the sole opinion of Sponsor. An entry that does not meet the above criteria will not be eligible. All entries become the Property of Brown-Forman/Jack Daniel’s and the thirsty.

Everyone knows what Jack Daniel’s is, but we want the people who are curious to experience who Jack Daniel’s is and meet the people behind the bottle. We want the skeptical, cocktail bartender who is willing to challenge themselves in order to reconsider mixing the iconic whiskey that is found little ol’ Lynchburg Tennessee.

We dare you to travel with us, so tell us why you want to explore the cave spring hollow, burn the sugar maple charcoal, climb up the highest rick, and drill into an uncut cask of the good stuff. Jack has got nothing to hide, so tell us your story and we’ll tell you ours.

JUDGING:

The contestants should answer the questions honestly. Prize winners will be selected based on the following criterial:

• Impact bartending has made on them,
• Overall interest in furthering their education
• Excitement for the brand.
• Originality and creativity

Judging is in the sole discretion of Jack Daniels and a panel of judges selected by Jack Daniel’s. Judging will be conducted/concluded on or about March 21st, 2016, and winners will be notified by via their Instagram account and/or email and must be a currently employed as a bartender. You must age verify prior to submission.

If you do not verify your age prior to submission you will forfeit the entry/prize and an alternate winner may be selected. Brown-Forman/Jack Daniel’s and participating promotional companies are not in any way liable for damage, loss or injury resulting from computer malfunctions, misdirected or incomplete entries or acceptance and use of the prize. • Lodging accommodation in an on-site camper (standard room, single occupancy) for (2) nights in Lynchburg at the Jack Daniel Distillery.
• Hosted tour of the Jack Daniel Distillery Arrive morning of 6/4/18, Depart evening 6/7/18

Bartender Contest Official Rules

Contest Period:
Start Date May 7th, 2018

Entry Deadline:
MAY 31st, 2018 at Midnight ET.

How To Enter:
In order to enter, the Contest potential entrants must fill out an application from on thirstymag.com/ryed-with-jack/ during the Contest Period. Entry must be completed using the form; Each section of the video entry must be completed.

The video entry will consist of an essay question and answer in three parts.
The first is the bartender’s professional background.
The second is the bartender’s prior distillery trip/educational experience.
The third is a show and tell example of their talent.

Video submissions must not contain information that would be considered illegal according to state laws, harmful to the Jack Daniel’s brand, mention any celebrity, or mention any other alcoholic beverage brands. Furthermore, an entry must be in good taste in the sole opinion of Sponsor. Video submissions must not exceed 10 minutes in length.
