This week’s drink of the week, is the Sailin’ On at Soothsayers Vietnamese, that includes sake, Calamansi puree and agave nectar.
Calamansi puree comes from Calamondin that is intergenetic hybrid between a member of the genus citrus and the kumquat belonging to Fortunella. Calamansi is used extensively in Filipino cooking– it’s squeezed on pancit noodles, used a marinade for meats, and used to make desserts. Learn more.
Sailin’ On Ingredients
- 1/4 cup Agave nectar
- 1/4 cup Calamansi puree
- 1/3 cup Sake
- 2 cups ice cubes
Combine ingredients into blender and mix. Garnish with Calamansi fruit and mint leaf.
