Guy’s Pig & Anchor Bar-B-Que Smokehouse|Brewhouse will offer four craft beers produced by Carnival Cruise Line’s expert brewmaster Colin Presby, which will be brewed onboard the equally new Carnival Horizon. The rustic, down-home décored brewery and restaurant concept was developed by Food Network star Guy Fieri, and will feature all smoked “low and slow” BBQ favorites using the chef’s signature rubs and spices as well as his signature sauces.

Before the Carnival Horizon makes its maiden voyage to Europe on April 2, 2018, we enjoyed a menu preview of Guy’s Pig & Anchor Bar-B-Que Smokehouse|Brewhouse. The tasting highlighted their exclusive ship-brewed and ParchedPig branded craft brews listed below.
ParchedPig Farmhouse Ale -Thanks to the brew masters use of Saison yeast, this heavenly, light-bodied blond ale wowed us with its fruity and complex character with a hint of mild spice.
ParchedPig West Coast IPA -Instead of being overly bitter, this IPA has well-balanced flavors, and the fragrant aroma of citrus and pine.
ParchedPig Toasted Amber Ale -This amber colored ale, not as boldly flavored as the others, hints to toasted caramel.
ParchedPig Smoked Porter -Brewed with malt smoked in-house in the wee hours on the ship’s promenade deck, this robust, full-bodied porter offers intense bold flavors and notes of molasses, espresso, and hickory smoke.
To tackle the piled high plate of nachos, we recommend the highly drinkable Farmhouse Ale. The Smoked Porter will pair well with the smoked-on-board brisket, Memphis-style back ribs, dry-rubbed chicken, pulled pork, or cedar-smoked salmon.
Carnival Horizon Details
Carnival Horizon is set to debut in Europe April 2, 2018, with a 13-day Mediterranean cruise from Barcelona – the first of four round-trip departures from that port. Carnival Horizon will reposition to the U.S. with a 14-day trans-Atlantic crossing from Barcelona to New York May 9-23, 2018.
Guy’s Pig & Anchor Bar-B-Que Smokehouse|Brewhouse will be open for lunch service, which is included in the cruise fare.
