Cooking Thanksgiving dinner may just be one of the most stressful holiday traditions. So this year, skip the headache and head out to one of these L.A. restaurants, many of which have pre-fixe menus with seasonal favorites. Oh, and no clean up. Talk about thankful.
Café Pinot is a California French-inspired restaurant in downtown Los Angeles that boast indoor and outdoor seating. For Thanksgiving, the restaurant is offering a pre-fixe $65 three-course dinner, $29 for children 10 and under, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.. The menu includes dishes such as butternut squash soup, bucatini, hanger steak, Atlantic salmon and of course, a traditional turkey entree. Finish up with pumpkin creme brulee or chocolate spiced cremeux. Guests can also enjoy complimentary macaron dessert takeaway and specially curated wine pairings, including a dessert Sauternes for an additional $28.

Saddle Peak Lodge
For a Thanksgiving feast atop a mountain, head up to Malibu Canyon for Saddle Peak Lodge’s annual holiday dinner from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., featuring a special menu created by Chef Adam Horton. The decadent four-course, pre-fixe offerings includes Belgian endive salad, wild mushroom agnolotti, grilled quail, seared New Zealand elk tenderloin, turkey plate “with all the fixins” and many other mouthwatering dishes. For dessert, take your pick of Memo’s pumpkin pie, petite chocolate brownies or banana-huckleberry bread pudding. Adults are $105 each, children are $65. Following dinner, head up to The Double Barrel Room, an exclusive whiskey room located on the top floor of the lodge for a nightcap.

While Mastro’s isn’t doing a pre-fixe menu, they will be open from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day. So if you want to skip the turkey, they are serving up mouth-watering steak, incredibly rich sides like the lobster mashed potatoes, gorgonzola mac & cheese, Alaskan king crab, black truffle gnocchi, the iciest cocktails, the best seafood, capped off with the decadent warm butter cake that is actually worth unbuttoning your pants for. All Mastro’s locations in Southern California will be open, but we’ve got a soft spot for the Beverly Hills one.

It doesn’t get more California than Thanksgiving on the beach. For a seaside celebration, head over to 1 Pico at the iconic Shutters On The Beach hotel in Santa Monica. For $105 per person starting at 11 a.m., indulge in a special three-course pre-fixe menu that includes unexpected offerings such as roasted ginger shrimp, white asparagus, braised wagyu short ribs and tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms. Don’t worry, they’ve got a classic turkey entree with sweet potato mash, port braised cranberries, roasted market vegetables and savory bread pudding. Stay and watch the sunset while sipping on their famous Sunset Margarita.

Don’t worry veg-heads: you don’t have to feel left out this Thanksgiving. Crossroads’ all-vegan holiday menu is back with delicious plant-based dishes being served from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.. The $80 four-course menu includes butternut squash bisque with nutmeg crème fraîche, an autumn chopped salad with kohlrabi, granny smith apples, persimmons, candied pecans, and pomegranate vinaigrette, a spiced chickpea cake with cranberry cabernet sauce, brussels sprouts, mashed potatoes with porcini gravy and sweet potato biscuits. For dessert, pick between a chocolate tart with kabocha squash jam or apple custard cake. Wash down all your cruelty-free cuisine with a selection off of their impressive wine list.
