Spirited Awards 2018 Announces The Top Four Finalists Nominees

Tales of the Cocktail has announced The Top Four Finalist Nominees for each of the categories for the Spirited Awards 2018.  This high profile ceremony is held annually during the Tales of the Cocktail Festival to honor the world’s top bars,
bartenders, writers, and cocktail experts. Nominees are selected by judging panels that are put together every year by the Tales of the Cocktail Organization.

The Spirited Awards will take place on Saturday, July 21st at the iconic Orpheum Theater in NOLA, where the winners of
each category will be announced during a gala in front of a live audience of Tales attendees. Winners will receive the iconic Spirited Awards plate as a trophy that are crafted with Riedel crystal.

Each year, a panel of over 140 industry experts are hand-picked by Tales of the Cocktail, led by Charlotte Voisey (Spirited Awards Chairperson), Jacob Briars (International Spirited Awards Chair), Paul Clarke (Writing Chair), Bridget Albert and Kiowa Bryan (U.S. Judging Chairs), and Daniyel Jones, Lauren Mote, Claire Warner, Giuseppe Gallo, Micaela Piccolo, Zdenek Kastanek, Kurt Schlechter and Rebecca Sturt ​(International Judging Chairs) take part in a month-long voting process to choose their picks for Awards finalists. These votes are then reviewed and tallied up internally by Advisory Committee Members to determine the top finalists in each category.

see their accomplishments recognized,” says Neal Bodenheimer, Board Member of Tales of the
Cocktail Foundation. “We look forward to welcoming them to New Orleans and celebrating their
